In early March 2020, the partner group of HRC came together to discuss something none of us in our time on planet earth had face before – a global pandemic. Big questions arose:
- How do we keep our employees safe?
- How do we keep our clients safe?
- How do we navigate a fully remote work environment, both from a “get the job done” perspective and also from a “training” perspective?
- How do we stay connected as a firm – to each other and to our clients?
These questions and many more were discussed that day, but the largest take away was that we were going to weather the storm as a team, together, and do whatever we could to support our staff and clients as they too navigated these unchartered waters.
To be honest, the first few weeks were tricky. Some individuals craved face-to-face interaction, while others were content not seeing other people for days. Some people continued to get dressed for work, while others preferred to stay in their pajamas. We have opened ourselves up to each other in ways we never did before. I now know, for example, what most of our team member’s home offices, kitchens, and bedrooms look like – and they know mine. We have learned to be forgiving of interruptions during meetings, be it from children who are home with parents, animals at your feet, landscapers outside of your window, a partner sharing a workspace, etc. We have all learned. We have all grown. And we have succeeded. We are emerging from this pandemic a little like Punxsutawney Phil – not quite sure what is on the other side, but most of us ready and willing to take the next step.
While the storm is not yet over, we are ready to take the next steps and welcome new faces to the firm. We hope you consider joining the HRC team.
We are a great place to work. We are a great team to be a part of. If you are looking for a firm that cares about you as a whole person, HRC is it. If you are looking for a firm that provides real, tangible work/life success, HRC is it. If you are looking for a firm that will expect you to be challenged in your work and be resourceful, HRC is it. If you are looking for a firm that you can be a part of, that you can contribute to in a meaningful way, HRC is it. If you are looking for a firm where there is opportunity for growth, HRC is it.
Bottom line – HRC is it.
We look forward to hearing from you.
