In 2024, Sanobar Mehdi joined HRC as an Intern in our Assurance Department and promoted to Staff Accountant in 2025. While at UNLV she has worked as a Teaching Assistant, primarily with toddlers and children.
Sano served as an Urban Ambassador at UNLV, where she assisted freshmen and peers in adapting to college life which has greatly enhanced her communication skills with both peers and administrators.
Sano has a strong background in service to her community, having volunteered at Springs Preserve and Opportunity Village.
Her personal service philosophy is that while perfection is unattainable, improvement is always possible. She strives to be better in all she does, recognizing that perfection is an ideology, but practical solutions are what truly matter. Sano attributes her success to God, her family, and herself.
Sano’s favorite book is “The Queen of Nothing” by Holly Black, which she admires for its strong female lead and inspirational narrative. Her favorite quote, “just keep swimming” by Dory from “Finding Nemo,” resonates with her as a reminder to persevere through challenges.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sano enjoys the city’s lights, especially the view from Foxhill Park. She comes from a close-knit family with four siblings and parents who have been together for 25+ years. Her family’s diverse background and strong values have been a significant influence on her life.
